For Mackenzie and Christian’s wedding shoot, New College’s created the perfect backdrop for romantic, golden-hour wedding portraits overlooking the water.

Elegant Reception Wedding Decor with Calla Lilies in Sarasota

With such a naturally stunning venue, the vision for the day was intentionally clean, elegant, and refined—allowing the beauty of New College to take center stage without overwhelming the space. Samm from Gemma & Co. Events brought the vision to life with thoughtfully designed details, including an exquisite tablescape featuring unique calla lily-inspired place cards by Madwolfe Designs. Delicate white and burgundy calla lilies and pink and white anthuriums were woven throughout the wedding design, creating a cohesive and timeless floral aesthetic.

Unique Ceremony with Clean White Florals at New College

One of the most memorable details was the ceremony itself. Rather than a traditional straight aisle, the ceremony was designed as a dramatic S-shaped, winding aisle lined with organic groupings of white florals. The unexpected shape added an artistic element to the ceremony while complementing the clean, modern feel of the overall design.

From the ceremony facing the gorgeous oak tree to the glowing waterfront sunset portraits, every part of Mackenzie and Christian’s New College wedding shoot felt intentional, effortless, and distinctly Sarasota.
